iPod Sock

Because of the thingie I use in my car to listen to my iPod, I can’t keep the iPod in a sleeve or protective cover or whatever. When I get out of the car, I toss it in my bag, where it bounces around and gets scratched up. So I rummaged through my yarn stash and whipped up a little something:

rainbow ipod sock

Fun!

  1. Super cute! That is way better looking than the iPod socks they were selling a couple years ago. Let me know if you set up an Etsy page—I got an iPod classic for Christmas and I haven’t been able to find a good case for it. So far I’ve been using a mitten and an empty coat pocket. :(

  2. A mitten? That’s awesome.

I think there are a lot of people selling these already. But maybe I will whip up a few more…

An iMitten! Oh I want I want! So cute! I have a case for mine but I have to take it out if I want to play it in our stereo at home. It gets stuck in there and drives me crazy when I’m trying to pull it out and play a song before my husband plays one more of his heavy metal songs! It love the colors! You do need to make extra! I’d buy one!

  4. If you go to etsy and search “ipod sock,” you’ll find hundreds. Some are awesome and some are butt-ugly.

  5. That’s cute! My mom knitted me one a couple of years ago and I requested that she include a pocket on mine so I’d have a place to keep my ear buds.

  6. Yay, you did the drawstring cord. :)

  7. I did, and it works perfectly! Thanks.

Thanks for the heads up about etsy. I think I’ve seen you talk about that before but it didn’t click. I must say there are some cool things there. I love the hats especially! Also I think your iPod sock is much prettier than that stuff there! I do believe you are making it much easier for me and my friend to try knittng! I love to see the stuff that you make!

  9. Stacy, definitely try knitting. Trust me, if I can do it, you can do it. Maggie taught me and I’ll never be able to thank her enough. I’m not the most skilled knitter in the world, but I love what I can do.

  10. I think we should patent the iMitt** Just saying.

**The iMitt is a bipartisan iPod protector.

Cupcake alert!….. they have a few cute things(bags, paper) with cupckaes on them!!!

  12. The cell phone cosy you knitted for me now is the permenatnt home to my ipod. I like the velcro closure. Keeps my emotibles from falling out!

  13. Mel, I like the one with the fangs!

  14. Super cute FG, I love the yarn! Plus “icord” is thematically consistent, don’t you think?

  15. Ha! I didn’t think about that!
