Yum
Last night I christened my new KitchenAid with a batch of chocolate chip cookies with almonds. Hell to the yes. I couldn’t love this appliance more. And the cookies are outstanding, if I do say so myself. I also grilled up some excellent chicken on our fake Foreman Grill, after giving it a nice coating of this chipotle seasoning. Over the weekend, we stopped in to this shop in New Hope, and picked up a few things, including that “Pain is Good” stuff. I noticed the same company makes Bloody Mary mix. I need some, immediately.

Now I’m hungry.
And I need to go to the US again to pick up some spice-mix-thingies. I’m almost out of Joe’s Hot Stuff, I bought in New Orleans.
Oh and I’m not too keen on the Emeril’s stuff I bought at Wegman’s last December.

By the way – I had an article written in a local paper here in the ATL about my Bloody Mary recipe. Yes, it’s that good.

Really, Chuck? Will you share the recipe, or do I have to wait til I get to Atlanta so you can make me one?

I can share it. It’s on my home desktop though and I don’t feel like typing it all out here, so I’ll e-mail it to you. It’s called the “Steak in a Glass” and will make your tongue slap your brains out (southern term for something really yummy).

Here’s a link to the article.

14 ingredients? Damn!

The Twisted Spoke in Chicago makes insane Bloody Marys like that. They are kind of rust in color, really thick, and have things like grated cheese and strips of ham floating around in there along with everything else. Truly a meal in itself.

I’m expecting that email forwarded to me.
I agree with what you said in the article, Chuck. I prefer Bloody Caesars, but it’s the same thing…if they’re not spicy enough, without enough worcestershire, you may as well just go the hell home.
Which reminds me…we need to do Caesars next time we get together, Freakgirl.

YES, PLEASE!

“should be brownish-red in color, look like a spice rack exploded inside it and require a toothpick when you’re finished.” That’s classic. Gimme one now.
