Yays and Boos

A list of YAYs and BOOs for this week:

YAY! Beth is coming over for dinner.
BOO! The house reeks of garlic from my lunch of re-heated pizza.
YAY! I just finished my last Crest Whitestrip.
BOO! My teef hurt.
YAY! Canadians are coming to visit starting tomorrow!
BOO! My face is broken out and I’m PMSing like mad.
YAY! We’re having a big party on Saturday!
BOO! See previous boo.
YAY! I managed to do my Pilates DVD as soon as I woke up this morning instead of putting it off.
BOO! My abs and butt hurt.
YAY! The geekboy bought me two cases of cheap decent wine last night.
BOO! I fear that Maggie and I might plow through them both before the party.

  1. Yay! Megan gets to see Beth this weekend!
Boo! Beth and Megan are missing Freakgirl & Geekboy’s party.
Yay! Beth is fulfilling a lifelong dream to meet Brett Favre.
Boo! Megan has to clean her apartment.

  2. BOO! We will not be at your party this year.

  3. YAY! We’re leaving in the morning!
BOO! I still have tons of laundry to do!
YAY! I will have 8 hours of knitting time in the car!
BOO! My face is utterly broken out, too.
    YAY! Can’t wait for party!
BOO! I will miss my cats.
YAY! I am getting drunk tomorrow on 2 cases of cheap decent wine!
BOO! Alex gets carsick. Must remember to buy Gravol and bring extra plastic bags.

  4. Sad faces for Ivon and Marjon. :(

Maggie, PLEASE don’t forget the dramamine/gravol. I want you all to arrive at our house puke-free, in a pleasant mood, and smelling fresh.

I so wish I could join Megan and Beth for their Weekend O’Favre. Beth is the most popular girl on freakgirl.com today!

  5. YAY! I’ll be at the FreakGeek party and will get to see the Canadians!
BOO! I can match both Maggie and FG pimple for pimple.
YAY! My kids like The Electric Company even though they can already read.
BOO! My cat is sick and we thought we were going to have to put her to sleep.
YAY! She’s getting better and it looks like we dodged a bullet.

  6. SUCH good news about your kitty. I love her fat little butt.

  7. YAY! Haircut and a facial on Friday.
BOO! They scheduled the haircut first. Who does that?

  8. BOO! To Beth and Megan for not being at the party.
YAY! To kitties who get better!

Susie, the three of us can hang out in the corner together with our pimples, since no one else will probably want to talk to us. I think we should give ourselves pimply-superhero names. I’ve got a boil on my forehead, so I will be Cyclops.

  9. You can call me Greazy Cheezy.

  10. BOO! My computer died last night and now I have to send it to see if they can save any files. So now, I have no computer and though work will give me a temporary one tomorrow, I have none of my files.
BOO! I had to come into the New York office today and will have to again tomorrow because of the above boo (for someone who almost always works from home, getting up dressed and taking a train into the city is a royal pain in the ass)
YAY! I am going to freakgirl’s party this weekend
BOO! As usual the boyfriend can’t come with me because he has to work
YAY! To kitties getting better and kitties in general

  11. Bluebunny, HORRIBLE news about your computer. That happened to me just about a year ago. Nightmare. I hope it can be fixed! I bet it can.

Looking forward to seeing you this weekend!

  12. BOO to stupid job interview anxieties and BOO again to feeling inadequate and lost while preparing for said job interview.

YAY to husband who will make yummy beef stew for dinner and YAY for TV on DVD and an extra YAY for cuddly cats who always manage to make mummy feel better when she comes home.

  13. BOO to rain on Friday, when Jeremy, Charlie, Alex, and I are driving in to NYC to check out the Masters of American Comics exhibit at the Jewish Museum. Driving into and walking around NYC sucks in the rain.

YAY to no rain and sunny on Saturday, when we’re having our party.

BOO to the fact that it’s going to dive down to 47F on the day of our party. Couldn’t we have kept the 65F+ weather we’ve had all week for a just few more days?

YAY to some 4-person Xbox activity on the HDTV this weekend, and various other geekly pursuits while the Canadians are in town.
