Looking through some old emails and Facebook settings and realizing at the heights of my depression, I don’t even remember some of the things I did. It’s very unsettling, yet I know it’s my brain trying to protect me.
I had that phenomenon explained to me, but what it boils down to is: Your brain is too busy being sick to store memories. But it’s an awesome defense mechanism as well. Why would you want to remember how it felt to be in that kind of pain?

Most of my cancer year is a blur as well. Figure I didn’t miss much. ;)
