Wherefore Art Thou, Kid?
Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 03:00pmToday it’s pleasant enough outside to have my office window open. I’ve been sitting here all afternoon feeling like something is missing. It’s quiet. Too quiet. Finally, I remember. I look across the street and, lo, the garage door is closed. Skateboard Boy and his family are on vacation.
UPDATE 4:38PM: They are not on vacation after all! Skateboarding has commenced; all is right with the world.

I have a Skateboard Kid on my street, too… Couple of weeks ago, I gave him the old “hang loose” hand dealie… and so he gave me the finger.
Sigh. Old Skool vs. New Skool, I guess. I felt like a geezer.
