What Are You Wearing?

Today is an office day for me, so I won’t be around much. I haven’t decided what I’m wearing today, but to celebrate the almost-springlike weather, I’m thinking of going barelegged. Is that a do or a don’t? If I do, it will be a chocolate peasant-style skirt with an ivory button-down blouse and brown mary-janes.

    As soon as I’m off work at noon, I’ll slip into my favorite old, old broken in jeans (OK, FINE, they’re not that great but I gained a few pounds and they’re all that fits), a powder blue long-sleeved t, black lulu hoodie, and those vintage Nike waffle trainers that I love so much. Oh, and my new Zegna frames because I think they make me look interesting. Quirky even. My goal is to have 1-2 craigslist missed connections today.

    Black shirt-dress over jeans, American Eagle runaround shoes and socks, pink scarf wrapped around my neck because it is cold and wet and miserable outside, silver headband. No bare legs for us around here yet, though it’s been close these last few days.

    Permit me a dress over jeans anecdote? Last weekend my 4 year old niece had a Gymboree cupcake dress on over jeans and some brown cupcake flats with pompoms on them, topped with Little Mermaid barettes in her hair and she was the cutest thing you’ve ever seen.

    You know, Michael…I have a daughter who could use an uncle with good taste in purses…

    Actually, fortunately for Maddie, my sister has only boys. Every time my brother-in-law gets a commission, she buys something for my daughter. It’s where all her cute purses and dresses come from!

    Lake, I just noticed those aren’t the exact style I have on, but they’re pretty much exactly the same. I find Mudds really comfy, although I haven’t walked around the city all day in them.

    Okay, I couldn’t find the Mudds online. But, thanks to Sandra, I found a really cute pair of Merrills that I just ordered!! I really needed these shoes - thanks for the help!!
