wes anderson makes movies that remind me of my favorite albums: they are the ones that i might not instantly love, love, love but with repeated listenings they become a part of my DNA. thanks for giving props to the man.

As I sit at my desk and look at my "The World of Max Fischer" poster in my cube, I remember the feeling I got when I walked out of the theater after seeing Bottle Rocket the first time. I was an instant fan and went to see it again the next day, bringing several friends along. Even his one misstep (IMO), "The Life Aquatic ," was pretty darn good. I know he gets knocked for his repeating the same style, but I love it and I hope he continues to make "Wes Anderson movies."

I especially loved The Darjeeling Limited. Besides adoring the acting and the dialogue which were fantastic, I really love the colors of India anyway, so I appreciated all of the things he used in the movie, the way they painted the train, etc. The details are incredible - Wes really is an artist with his films. Did you ever watch the making-of on the dvd of that movie? Fascinating, how much detail he puts into everything, so it almost seems real, at least that's the feeling I got while watching.
