Weird Dreams
I have this recurring dream about watching an aircraft crash or explode. I don’t know where it came from — maybe watching too much Lost or perhaps the airplanes on 9/11 — but it occurs often and it’s always so upsetting. I’m usually out on the lawn when I see it happen, in the dream. I had the dream again last night. This time it was a helicopter. I was outside with my mom and sister and we could hear a helicopter buzzing around. I kept saying that it didn’t sound right and the noise got closer and I made everyone get up on the porch. Then a helicopter just fell out of the sky and hit the ground in front of us, cockpit first, and burst into flame. I ran inside to tell my dad to call 911, but my voice wouldn’t work, no matter how loud I tried to scream.
Later, when I went outside to survey the scene, the rotors from the helicopter were hanging from a tree. I took a photo.
I’ve had this dream about airplanes and rockets, too. What does it mean?

I once read the best way to interpret dreams is to take all the specifics out of the dream and you’ll find the subconscious meaning.
For example, if you keep having a dream about a tiger chasing you, it becomes “Something was coming after me.” And then you determine what the tiger individually means or represents to you.
I used to have this recurring dream about all my teeth falling out, and it meant that at the time, I felt my life was completely out of control (and it was).
So, what does something crashing down in front of you and your loved ones mean to you? And why do you want to make sure you never forget it?

Heh, yeah. Lots to think about!
Obvs I was unsettled when I went to sleep last night. I had other bad dreams, too. I blame True Blood.

I used to have dreams all the time involving planes crashing in the field behind my house. I would always run out to the plane & try to save people or take photos.
When I moved, those dreams stopped.
I think the old house was in a flight pattern and at night, there was more flight traffic and I would hear the planes and it would get incorporated into my dreams.
Now if I could just get rid of these pesky bear nightmares.

I have dreams all the time about seeing a plane or helicopter crash. When you figure out what it means, let me know.

Jason, I’ve also have the recurring dream about my teeth falling out. I couldn’t stop them! I’d just touch one and it would fall out. I think it was the same for me, feeling powerless and out of control.
However, I am also very scared of the dentist and have to be sedated to have work done, and I went a long time without seeing a dentist at all. Maybe my dreams were literal.

From what I’ve read about the teeth-dreams; if you’re teeth are okay and there’s no reason you might really lose a tooth, then the feeling powerless explanation is true. If you haven’t been to the dentist in ages and have toothaches, the dream is about your bad teeth.

I have that dream, too! (If I am ON the plane in the dream, then it has to land on a highway in a Dramatically Shot Action Sequence.)
