Weekend Wrapup
How was your weekend? Mine was lovely. Had a small-ish dinner party on Saturday night. We pigged on turkey chili, veggie lasagna, munchies, apple desserts and cupcakes. And sidecars. And cider. And wine. Fun. I got to re-connect with friends I haven’t seen in ages, and enjoyed a Jersey diner breakfast yesterday with Lisa and Jon. An excellent weekend overall, although I did have a bit of a hangover yesterday. Eh, it was worth it.
Those cupcakes up there? Yum. The first one is lemon buttermilk, stuffed with lemon curd, with a lemon buttercream. The second is chocolate Guinness with a Bailey’s buttercream.
How was your weekend? I know Michael did GREAT at the marathon and Soosan rocked her 5K. Kudos to you both! :)

yuummmm….sorry I missed the cupakes. Had a wonderful Saturday with my friend Matthew who was visiting from London. We had lunch at the Shake Shack (overrated) and then wandered around the Natural History Musuem where I relived my childhood – I love those dioramas! After we had our fill of the museum we headed downtown where we found a cozy bar in which to take up residence and chat. Many beers and bourbons later I headed back over the river. Sunday I spent in a sleepy haze on the couch watching football (debacles for both my teams) and napping with the kittens. Overall an excellent weekend!
