Michael, my sister and I just got our tickets for South Pacific. CANNOT. WAIT. My mom just sent me an email with offers for all kinds of discounted theater tickets: Xanadu, August: Osage County, Young Frankenstein, A Catered Affair, The 39 Steps, Top Women (which I’m actually seeing next month), Thurgood, and Legally Blonde. HOW TO CHOOSE?!

Chuck, show choir represents! We should go. A long weekend…a musical every night….Hell’s Kitchen after…..sounds perfect, right?

Freakgirl, how could I forget? Although, with you two, I remember Xanadu being a 90 minute blur of cracking up, starting before we even got in the theater and ending with waving glowsticks. Also perfect, right?

Oh, and just in case someone thinks I’m a heartless bastard for not doing anything for father’s day - my family is celebrating father’s day NEXT weekend, since it’s also my grandfather’s 87th birthday. Still trying to figure out what to get him.

On Friday, I went to my sister’s house for a nice little BBQ which was ruined by horrible, horrible storms. However, I got to regale my niece will tales of the Jonas brothers, which gave her the (mistaken) impression that I am cool. (I feel so bad for my sister - she can’t wait until her daughter outgrows her boy band phase.)

Saturday, I got together with some of my girl friends who I hadn’t seen in months, including my friend Kait who has been in Ireland for two years. She told us of her new boyfriend, who is the son of a prominent ham mogul in Ireland, which prompted many, many ham jokes all day. We told her it was too bad she wasn’t heir to a cheese or mustard empire.

Sunday, I slept until noon, made some cookie, and lay on my couch watching television. It was lovely.
