Weekend Wrapup
Monday, January 21, 2008 at 10:52amHow was your weekend? Ours was nice. My back is just about 100%…the less time I spend in front of a computer, though, the better. On Saturday my parents came over and helped us paint the bedroom. With the four of us working, it was finished quickly and it looks great. There’s a photo of the color here. It’s actually a bit darker in real life.
Saturday night we visited some friends, where the geekboy partied hearty, as you can see for yourself:
I also made cupcakes:
They were made with espresso and coffee and chocolate and they pretty much rule my world.
Last night, Miss Lisa came over with a ton of homemade onion soup. Love. We chowed down on that with some cabernet sauvignon and watched the finale of The Amazing Race, and followed that up with a couple of episodes of Flight of the Conchords.
Speaking of my boyfriend Jemaine, the geekboy and I watched this movie on Friday night. It’s a lot like Napoleon Dynamite, but a little bit weirder and darker. I loved it.
Today, the geekboy and I will celebrate Martin Luther King Day by going to see Cloverfield. I think MLK would have wanted it that way.

Jay and I saw a preview of Eagle vs. Shark before a DVD we watched recently and were really interested in seeing it. Thanks for the reminder! Hope you like Cloverfield - we’re hoping to see it tomorrow night.

I saw Cloverfield on Friday. I’ll be very interested to hear the Freak and Geek review. Especially Geek. No offense.
Coffee AND espresso AND chocolate? Gimme.

It snowed here in the ATL, so that was fun! Aside from that - laundry, football and chili!

I’ve been wanting to see Eagle vs Shark for a while. Thanks for reminding me.
Best line in Cloverfield is “I just can’t stop thinking of how scary it would be it a flaming homeless man came running out of the dark right now”

Got a $950 surfboard for $450! According to the principles of Hugh-gebra, that means I made $500! Right? Right? Whatever. Yaaay!
Stepsister who has had a terrible time getting pregnant…now having triplets! Yayx3! And..eek!

I talked to my cats and carded some batts and vacuumed the kitchen mats.

In another feat of Hugh-gebra, I just realized that there are only 364 days left until 1.20.09.
1. I thought it would never come.
2. I remember posting here “hang on, only 800-something-something days left!” which, according to the Hugh-gebraic Principle, is like, nine hundred days ago.
