Weekend Plans
So, what are your weekend plans? Tonight, thank jeebus, we plan on not leaving the house. We’ll catch up on TiVo and start putting the kitchen back together and crap like that. Tomorrow night, Lisa and Charlotte and I will head to Maxwell’s to see Dean & Britta, and I’m very excited about that, even though I still feel like warmed-over ass. Sunday is my godson’s first communion, and we have to go to church. It’s possible I may burst into flame as I walk through the doors. And of course I’ll be making cupcakes for the post-church festivities.

AC, baby. Enjoy your weekend. :)

FYI on your First Communion: The altar is flipped and they don’t do Latin anymore. Learn from my mistakes. ;-) Oh, and I never touch the holy water. Better safe than sorry.
I’m going climbing this afternoon. It’s my new thing! I found this rad indoor climbing gym. This guy has converted an old church (deconsecrated, thankfully). He tore out the floor so you climb from basement level all the way up into the rafters. And they still have the stained glass windows so the light is incredible. Anyway, I’m just a beginner, but I’m very excited about it.

Going to see the reunited Naked Raygun t-nite. Then mowing the lawn for the first time this year on Saturday (how punk rock is that?).
April 27th, 2007 - 13:37
Relaxation tonight, NFL draft tomorrow (I know), and ONE YEAR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY on Sunday!!
April 27th, 2007 - 13:48
Ken, if you’re going to Naked Raygun, why is Megan all complaining on her blog about having to go with her weird co-worker? :D Have fun!!! And mowing the lawn is VERY punk rock. Especially if you are drunk while you’re doing it.
Beth, I wish I could go with you, but circumstances just didn’t allow. The universe apparently does not want us to get together. Soon, though, we will. I can’t wait.
Chuck, that’s right! ONE YEAR! Wow, time flies. Did I mention how much I like your wife?
Michael, climbing sounds awesome. It’s something I’ve always wanted to try but I’m sure I would suck at it. No upper body strength. Plus I can’t bear the thought of people on the ground staring at my big butt.

I’m planning on spending this lovely weekend in my basement. Packing up all my posessions into boxes. So far I’va backed 4 large boxes of board games… who has that many board games?!?! …besides me. I NEED 4 versions of Life! at. least.
April 27th, 2007 - 14:33
I’m also going to learn how to type and spell.
April 27th, 2007 - 14:39
FG, very glad and it’s mutual all the way around. It’s a GD lovefest.
April 27th, 2007 - 16:35
Lauren, you make me laugh.
Chuck and Em, have a lovely anniversary weekend!
April 28th, 2007 - 01:13
Congratulations, Chuck and Em!
Confidential to Michael: Are you a vampire? I won’t tell.

We dropped by the Shad Festival in Lamberville today. Crowded fun, with yummy crabcakes thrown in for good measure. Tonight, after we’ve tucked the kid in, we’ve got Pay-Per-View and wine ready to go.

Just got back from the Rhythm ‘n’ Blues festival. Hated Jeff Healy, was pleasantly surprised by Shooter Jennings. Feet hurt, missed Hayseed Dixie because too tired.
Tomorrow is dinner at a friend’s place and maybe go into town, because it’s party night, the night before Queen’s Day, which is Monday. And that means that Monday is still weekend! Yay.

My weekend plans are now over and they are noteworthy forrr sure! I was at the Green Living Show in Toronto all weekend (and Friday) to talk about the program I work on.
So the big ticket about the show was that Al Gore presented his slideshow. I wasn’t originally going to see it because his talk was a) expensive and b) sold out BUT as luck would have it, another exhibitor offered me her ticket (she couldn’t go). That man can talk. It was good. I can’t really comment more, but it was nice for to hear him get some digs into the current Canadian Government as well.
Darryl Hannah spoke today to close the show. She seems like a very down to earth girl with a positive outlook and it was a great way to close the show.
No, I didn’t get to meet either, but to see both talk was (I think) a great way to spend the weekend!
To say my feet are sore right now is an understatement.
and now it’s time to watch the amazing race in a complete daze!

Wow, Soosan, that sounds like it was great! Hope you’ve recovered.
