I was out looking for Wall-E toys today but no one has the one I want! I almost bought the talking one but it's kinda large. I need to find mp3's of his sayings so I can use them on my computer.

I remember a week at the shore with Matt and Ian, where this song was used as a weapon.

Loved, loved, loved the whole thing. Loved it. And I'm not really going to comment on Johnny 5, except to say that there was a dumbass sitting behind us at the drive-in who kept predicting that the movie was going to be just like Short Circuit with a great big obnoxious booming voice, and he couldn't have been more wrong.

Not that there is anything wrong with Johnny 5. Ahem.

Great film! And one that will bear re-watching. I'm sure new details will surface with each viewing.

i LOVED wall-e. we saw it on thursday and my boyfriend begged me all weekend to see it again! if we didn't have so much to do, i would have done it for sure. i don't resee movies in the theatre! (last time i did that was batman. and i hated it. both times. hehehe)

i kind of liked the fat floaters. reminded me of idiocracy! and at the same time, it grossed me out b/c i'm pretty sure that's where we're headed. hehehe

and finally, i LOVE the voices. i want to talk like wall-e!

See, I thought there was a nice irony to the fact that most of the human characters were undeveloped background elements, while the robot characters were fully "fleshed out". I can't really speak for the producers, but I'd venture to say that was kind of the point, no? As for a major shift in storytelling from the first to the second half, I didn't really notice that. There was definitely an Act 1, Act 2, Act 3 progression, but it felt organic to me -- I'd have been bored with a movie that never moved beyond the first half.

I spent the second half of the movie trying to figure out who the voice of the captain was, and was so pleased with myself that I did so before the movie was over. Any time that I don't have to visit the IMDB site to look up something I should be able to remember is a victory for my rapidly aging brain.

Now I need to go back and re-watch "The Incredibles" so I can decide whether I like this one or that one better. Because I did love that movie quite a bit at the time.

I loved the first part of the movie, but once they got to the ship it got a little less interesting. There were too many fat floaty people with undeveloped characters, and the shift in storytelling made it feel like a completely different movie in the second half.

Loved Wall-E and Eve though, and the animation was amazing. But "The Incredibles" is still my favorite Pixar. I think. They do have a long list of greatness.

I loved it, and as I was telling you guys before, even though I totally appreciate the amazing technical aspects of them, I've never been a big lover of animated movies. This one totally made me melt. It was so beautiful. Maybe because he looks and acts a lot like Johnny Five? I also loved the robot with OCD - no contamination!
