I'm very excited. I love when they finally start wanting to be touched, and getting that first purr is so awesome. I have to find out if they're healthy before I introduce them to our other cats...the fosters we get usually have upper respiratory infections and they need to be segregated. It's a lot of fun. They stop being surly pretty quickly after they realize where the food comes from. Turns out one of my adult male cats was born to be a foster dad to kittens - loves to clean them, play with them, and nap with them. Have a great time with the kittens! Tomorrow morning I'm picking up our two new babies - she said they're five weeks old, calico, one long-hair, one short-hair, and both are "quite surly." I am so excited.
