The only movie/performance on the list that I’ve seen was Tom Cruise in “War of the Worlds”. I didn’t think he was good, but I didn’t think he was terrible. Can’t remember the last time when he wasn’t ‘Tom Cruise’ up there, you know? He doesn’t disappear into a role, does he? Is that because he’s not good or just because he’s too HIM?

It’s not about disappearing into a role or being “good”. The Cruise is an entity. He is Alpha and Omega. He doesn’t “act”, he transmits. The Cruise cannot malfunction.

Sort of off-topic, but…there was a great bit on “Best Week Ever” recently where they talked about the upcoming Pitt/Jolie baby and how we all need to make sure Angelina stops travelling to all these dangerous countries. How we need to collectively ensure that the Brangelina spawn is raised healthy and strong, as it will eventually have to face off against Tom & Katie’s child in a battle between good and evil. Heh.

I would have my money on the Brangelina spawn, but we know The Junior Cruise will be able to shoot lasers from his eyes.
