The Palin Mob

Friday, October 10, 2008 at 08:25am

How do you have discourse with people like this? I would laugh if I wasn’t already crying. And that blonde woman needs to be medicated. You’ll see who I’m talking about.

I’ll say up front that I think the guy who’s doing the interview could have done this much better. He’s awkward and hostile and obviously trying to make someone say out loud that Obama’s a terrorist and…whatever, but it’s the ongoing theme of “We don’t even know who he is” that bugs me here.

OHIO! The heart of it all. Says so right on the license plates.

I know her. Well, not HER, but her.

How do I get you out of there? Do I actually have to drive there and physically remove you?

  3. Charlie on Friday, October 10, 2008 at 8:50 am

Serioulsy, Michael. We have got to remove you from there. I don’t know how we do it, but FG and I are going to begin the planning phases of “Operation Sanity” on your ass. You’ve forced our hand. #

Yes, Michael - if a couple of guys bust into your room in the middle of the night soon and tie you up… well you’re set even if it isn’t us.

All kidding aside - I’d bet each of our states would return similar results at any McPalin rally. These folks are the same everywhere.

Yes Michael, after living in the Cleveland area for 7 years (Strongsville is a suburb) I know her too. *sigh*

I know New York is living in a bubble, but I am happy that I can discuss politics with my coworkers now and not have it be like that. When I lived there I used to sit at my desk and covertly listen to Air America on my headphones. And Cleveland is supposedly on the liberal end of the state.

last weekend, i was outside with my nephew and we were watching the big crane - dump trucks pick up trees and limbs (still left from ike). oddly enough, all of the dump trucks had mccain/palin stickers on them. in my head, i was giggling b/c how fitting. and then i noticed the people on the side of the street. i thought they were cheering for the dump truck guys (which sounds really stupid, but everyone here is super thankful for all the help we’re getting…hehehe). then i realized half of them were chanting “mcain” and the other half were cheering “palin”.

i can tolerate the cheering for the dump truck guys, but DON’T CHEER FOR THE TRASH!

Don’t take Michael out of Ohio! We need him to stay here and vote for Obama! People like those women in that video make me embarrassed to be a human being.
My McCain supporting neighbor told me that Obama lies about being an African American because he is not completely black. Mind you, in her little brain, that still qualifies him for a cross burning. Horrible. I avoid her like the plague now.

However, since it is so close to Halloween, I think a flaming bag of juicy dog poop on her doorstep is in order!

  9. freakgirl on Friday, October 10, 2008 at 10:52 am

Wait, now Obama’s not black enough?

    He’s just black-ish.

I grew up in Ohio, but that Mindy isn’t me. (And the people in that video are pretty much the reason I moved to Massachusetts.) (My parents still live there and are both voting Obama — my dad even has a bumper sticker!)

Hey Heidi, I love that your neighbor is claiming that Obama is only pretending to me more black so he can get elected. Something about that seems backwards but I get the point. If he said he was black and white the republicans would just call him a “flip flopper.” I have to stop now. A man just came up to me and told me not answer any questions unless you present them to me in writing.

    Terror, fear… no money- AHHHHHHH.

Here’s a companion to that…McCain supporters in PA. Shameful. Just shameful.

Wow. That one almost made me sick to my stomach.

Um, why weren’t THOSE people at work?

The guy screaming “SHE SHOULD DIE” when asked about a woman paying for her own rape kit? Makes me want to cry and throw up at the same time.

    MAVERICKS!

This piece on Jezebel is really worth reading:

I sometimes read a blog by a Dutch guy who won the Greencard Lottery. He’s been living in the US for about 3 years now, and counting the days until he can become a US-citizen. He can’t vote now, but if he could he would’ve voted McCain. But that’s not the worst thing. The worst thing is he wrote on his blog that he is convinced that it’s a shame that Sarah Palin is only running for VP, because she would be the best president ever. Even better than McCain.

    That’s…scary.

  19. GeekBoy on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 4:39 pm

Good thing he can’t vote yet!

Hey, I’m voting absentee for Obama in Ohio. Genevieve told me not to get registered in AZ because OH is a swing state. I was scared Cuyahoga County was going to disenfranchise me but the ballot arrived today.

  21. freakgirl on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 11:15 pm

Thank you for voting! Ohio sure needs you.
