Spring Forward This Weekend
Friday, March 07, 2008 at 12:21pmDon’t forget to change your clocks this weekend. I sure hate losing an hour of sleep, but I think it will put Meena on a better schedule. Pray for us.

I never lose or gain sleep - the clock just reads different.
Am I weird?
freakgirl on Friday, March 07, 2008 at 12:43 pm
Well, yeah.
So, if you usually get up around 7:00am, does that mean on Monday you will get up at 8:00am? Or will you just go to bed an hour earlier and get the same amount of sleep?
GeekBoy on Friday, March 07, 2008 at 12:45 pm
I’m just glad that it should put Meena’s wake up time right again, at least for a couple of months.
Chuck on Friday, March 07, 2008 at 12:47 pm
I’m not sure how I handle it - I just go with my body clock, which is between 7-9 hours of sleep.

That’s cool. I can do that, too, because I usually don’t have to be in an office at a certain time or have to catch mass transit or whatever.
Meena seems to get up when it’s light, so, as the geekboy says, this should give us some rest from her for a while.

I am having a hellaciously busy weekend, and now this….so, am I going to be early or late if I forget to set my clock? AAARGH!

in Az, we don’t change our clocks. that’s how conservative this state is. sure, it sounds on the surface like a bunch of kooks (which is often is, right mr mccain?), but really, in the summer, do we need another hour of sunlight?
no.

For once, I wish I was living in AZ.
DST kicks my ass. I HATE it.

GR - you’ll be late. You’ll think it’s 11 but it’s really 12.
Thanks for the reminder! I had not heard that elsewhere.

I look forward to DST every year because it means I can knit in the car after 6pm. But I dread it every fall because it means that it’s only a short while longer before the darkness gets me. I’m SAD.
Also, I must mention that today you mentioned your cat in 3 separate posts. I think you should take some video of Meena having a fit.

Nine hours of sleep, Chuck? Are you 14?
freakgirl on Friday, March 07, 2008 at 4:10 pm
Maggie - it’s a Meena kinda day, I guess! Right now she’s on my lap, purring and pushing her throat into my arm and dry heaving because she doesn’t realize she’s choking herself.
I love her.
