Being that I technically work on Wall St, I've heard his name more than I care to over the last several years, and I have nothing against someone cleaning up actual messes and crimes, but it was always obvious that he was doing it strictly for the headlines. My boss was at a dinner with Guilani and asked him his opinion of Spitzer (this is maybe 2 or 3 years ago, before running for gov) and Rudy said he stands for nothing, and wait and see - he's doing all this just to further his political career. Now, I can't say Rudy wasn't calling the kettle black there, but he was right. The thing that always stuck with me was the fact that he got most of his financial backing early in his career from hedge fund money - some connectiong with his dad, I think - and he NEVER once uttered a word about investigating that industry, which is highly unregulated. I guess he's your typical politician. What a douche bag.
