Slow Morning

I got nothin’ this morning. How about you? It’s a holiday weekend here in the States; Monday is Memorial Day. The geekboy has a half day today, and maybe after we drop off Mattie at the animal shelter (*sob*) we can catch an early viewing of the new Indiana Jones. Tomorrow is all about yard work. Sunday we’ll probably hang with FreakMom & FreakDad for a bit, and Monday should be a nice lazy day. We’ll see. How about ya’ll?

    Happy start of summer!
    I have a busy weekend, bridal shower for my sister-in-law tomorrow, hubby’s birthday on Sunday, nothing happening on Monday, but I’m sure that will change.

    Sorry you have to bring Mattie back, you gave him a great start and I’m sure some little girl will adopt him and give him hugs and kisses every day!

    I just spent 15 minutes choosing and printing out a couple of his baby pictures for the shelter to give to his new family (I’m hoping he is adopted out tomorrow at Petsmart). Can you say, “Overattached?”

    i got an email this morning from someone I went to high school with, a long time ago. i’ve moved to a different country since, and keep in touch with exactly one person from those days, but it was a pleasant surprise. I even found a few others on facebook and sent them a message. Just wierd, for me.

    I will be trying to finish making the blouses for the saris I will wear at my friend’s wedding next weekend. Attending a formal, catered Indian food dinner party for 70 on Saturday - Yum! There goes even TRYING to diet. Also finishing a large painting of cheese, for work.

    I am impressed that you are able to drop Mattie off. He is just the dictionary definition of adorable. I really thought you might end up keeping him, despite Long Legs & Meena’s objections. You might need a gin and tonic later.

    Liz and I are dragging the RV back across the country - headed your way!! As I write, we’re parked in Mills City, NV. Liz will be back at Phillipsburg for the next two rotations, and then to nearby York Memorial in PA for at least one more. I’ll be out to visit, and we WILL see you guys then!!
