Shut Up, Katherine Heigl
Monday, December 03, 2007 at 11:41amIt’s no secret that I can’t stand Katherine Heigl. Every interview I read with her brings out a new level of snotty bitchiness. So this doesn’t really surprise me. The thing really bothers me, though, is that she makes some valid points, but obviously those feelings weren’t strong enough to prevent her from taking the roles in the first place.

How douche.

Total douchebag. I think she’s wrong, too, about how women and men were represented in that movie. I hardly think anyone would see all the men in Knocked Up and think “yeah! I want to be like that when I’m (fill in age)”. What a jerkstore.

Jerkstore! Ha.

I didn’t get “women as shrews” from Knocked Up. I admit to having some issues with the movie & not liking it as much as other Apatow movies, though. And I don’t watch Grey’s Anatomy because it strikes me as being the Desperate Housewives of the hospital genre, in that it’s overly dramatic and absurd, but not in a good way, or at least not in a way that I find entertaining.

damn. i’m just a drone. i went to the movie. i watched the movie. i giggled entirely too much. and then i went home. and called my best friend. and told her to go see it b/c it’s funny.
i never once analyzed it. it didn’t seem like a movie where analysis was necessary. and i was fooled! i’m a sucker! it’s sexist and i didn’t even scream!
seriously, leslie mann made me snort. she wasn’t “shrew”. even KH’s role was just a pregnant chick…who screamed and threw fits. umm…isn’t that what f’in happens for the love of god?
i’m going back to my world where i can watch a comedy movie and laugh b/c it’s much more pleasant there than trying to find hidden bad messages in stupid f’in movies.
i wonder what she thought of american history x. just curious.

Knocked Up was about a successful, independent woman who was not yet ready to have a baby because her career was taking off.
That’s sexist?

Apparently.
