Shoe Advice Needed
Question to all you shoe fanatics out there. Two of my very favorite brands of shoes are Keen and Born. What other brands would I like?

Indigo by Clarks!!! They are beautiful, extremely stylish, really well made, and beyond comfortable. My mom buys a few pairs every year and I die of envy.

Wow, these are great:

Maybe if I ever have a grown-up job, I could buy them. Right now I have little use for heels!
I am looking for cute, funky shoes that would be at home with jeans or with a casual skirt and tights.

They make a whole bunch of casual clunkers—I just bid on 2 pair on eBay.
Also check out Earth Shoes—again, fish through eBay.

I just scored a pair of Borns on eBay, yay!

I love shoes by Kenzie,

Make a run to DSW on Route 1 Woodbridge and browse through the sale racks for your size. The potential scores there are un-frakking-believable (re: cheap and nice) and there are all styles and brands.

I love Borns too! I’m on my 3rd pair of their sandals – sooo comfy!

I almost never get lucky on discount racks. I’m a size 7 and it must be really common, because there’s never anything left!!
Every now and again I totally score at Marshall’s, though.

I want these!

I love Born shoes, but sometimes I need to be dressier. I love Cole Haan’s Nike Air line. They aren’t cheap, but they do last pretty well and are comfortable.

I was looking at those Cole Haans last week while writing an article about shoes. They seem fantastic.

Dansko. Seriously.
I don’t know how I got here or why I know this, but if you like Born and Keen, you’ll like Dansko. There’s one style called “Professional” which they have had for a million years and come in a million colors, and they are a bit drab, but apparently they are the most comfortable shoes ever if you are on your feet all day. They do have some other, cuter styles.

Also look for a style of Crocs called Malindi. Normally I hate Crocs, but these don’t look like Crocs.

My wife is connoisseur of fine shoes, I’m not just some creeper.

I love love love Clarks, and especially their Indigo line. If you ever get down to Rehoboth Beach, the Clarks outlet there is pretty darn good. I go twice a year and stock up. :-)
October 6th, 2009 - 15:06
Ah, I’ve seen Dansko before. They do look comfy! They remind me of kitchen clogs.
NO CROCS. EVER EVER EVER EVER.

Earth shoes rock. Also John Fluevogs are comfy, seriously.
October 6th, 2009 - 15:56
Fluevogs, I AM IN LOVE.
Definitely will have to hit up eBay for these.
October 6th, 2009 - 17:12
Dude, I LOVE my Fluevogs. Seriously.
October 6th, 2009 - 20:20
They are awesome. Which ones do you have again? Are your boots Fluevogs?
October 6th, 2009 - 23:16
They are, and they are the comfiest things I have ever worn. For reals. I’m holding out for a pair of these, too. And their heels are so cutes.
October 7th, 2009 - 07:43
OK. I can’t live, knowing those shoes are out there and not in my closet.
October 7th, 2009 - 09:12
I really love Clarks. I have so many pairs of them (mostly sandals) but they are SO comfty.
October 7th, 2009 - 09:22
I pulled an old pair of Clarks clogs out of my closet last night. Forgot I had them. So comfy. Can I still wear clogs? Am I terminally uncool?

J-41 http://tinyurl.com/ybb2dmk
Very comfy and light and some are goofy (though not like Fluevies it is true.)
There’s also a Clark’s Outlet and a JL Coombs http://tinyurl.com/ybeqgrh in Freeport, ME. Coombs carry everything comfy and fun. and they have a clearance basement. Yum. Yum I say.
October 7th, 2009 - 21:03
I have a pair of J-41s I use for biking. I had no idea they made other shoes. Fab!

And being as you are an Amazon-ion as well, you probably got the memo about “Fly” shoes. I haven’t tried ‘em yet, but there’s something about a red patent cross-instep rubber wedge (http://tinyurl.com/ydstnpp) that just speaks to me. But that could be just me. I love me some Wicked Witch foot couture.
Now I just need the stripey stockings. Oh yes, you will be mine. B-)

Those are great. But I would probably roll an ankle in them.
