Shawl Finished!
Well, I just finished sewing in loose ends and blocking the shawl! I’m happy with the result and, as I told Maggie last night, it was a pleasure to knit. I call it “The Moth.” See why after the jump.

Wow! I’ve been knitting the same baby blanket for 11 months. It’s green, since I started knitting before gender was determined… now she’s 2 months old. I’m a slacker.

It’s easy to find time to knit when you have no kid and no job…

That is a gorgeous shawl! Love the colors and the way they fade into each other. It’s so fall.

Wow, i”m very impressed with the holes in the pattern! Nice work :)
I pulled my knitting books out, and want to make a blanket for the baby sooo badly, but don’t know the sex yet, am lazy, and take a few years to make baby blankets, so there we go. I’m with Lauren.

Yay!
Now I have to finish mine!

Rona – you should just do like me and rely on your talented friends/family to make baby things ;). My mom just emailed me beautiful pics of a sweater/bootie set she knit (in pale green – which, along with yellow, seems to be the primary non-gender specific baby color.)

Rona, that’s not holes! That’s lace! ;)
