Well it certainly looks lovely! Thank goodness you weren’t in Buffalo though, what with all that fire potential.

Buffalo? I’m dumb; I don’t get it!

Up here the big joke is that Buffalo constantly has fires - like, all the time. I thought it was something known beyond our Ontario/NY border.
Um, never-mind … carry on!
Pretty, btw.

Heh, I’ ve never heard that joke before! Now I know.

Up here? I’ve never heard it before either. And I guess it’s not that big a joke since Queen Street burned down a couple weeks ago.

Yikes. Is Queen Street on the Canada side or the NY side?

It was from when I was growing up … I can’t explain where I know this but I know that people would joke about another fire in Buffalo! Or maybe it stems from when I’d catch the beginning of the Buffalo news after watching some show on Channel 11 or 15 or whatever and it would talk about yet another fire… I don’t know! I regret ever saying this! I now doubt everything I think I know!
FB, a row of historic buildings on Queen St in downtown Toronto were gutted recently by a massive fire. I firmly believe Buffalo started it.

OK, my final word: Jay also remembers that Buffalo has always been associated with having fires - I’m not crazy! Perhaps this just never made it as far east as Scarborough…

You nutty Canadians.
