Seeing Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal again this summer was seriously incredible. You couldn't help but feel how much energy was in that theater. Sigh.

Normally I complain about the fact that I work in the vortex of insanity known as 42nd street in Times Sq. but it came in very handy this morning as I was able to secure tix to the final performance before going in to work.

Well... I'm sad. I'm one of those crazy Rentheads who has seen it way too many times and the show honestly has a huge place in my heart. I met some of my best friends through it and had some crazy times waiting for tickets. I'm ticked because the final show is already sold out. GRR!

Me, too, Susie. Me, too.

I just saw it in September because Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal were back as Mark and Roger and I had no choice. Holy crap, the energy in that theater was AMAZING. People were losing their shit. Definitely one of my favorite times in the theater. The harmonies. Oh, the harmonies. Sad that it's ending, but I'll be there with bells on (my fitty-something feet) in ten or 15 years when they revive it.

Oh, and my iPods are engraved with NO DAY BUT TODAY. There. I said it.

NPH is great. I didn't see him in Rent, but I did in Assassins. He kicks all sorts of musical theater ass.

I bet it's not sold out. It rarely is nowadays, is it?

Believe it or not, I've never seen it. I've always wanted to, and for that reason, I haven't seen the movie either. I wanted to see the play first, but never got around to it. I wonder if it's sold out through the end of the run?

I wish I'd been able to see the OBC, but I was so far away from even imagining going to to a Broadway show was feasible in 1996! But I caught it beginning in '02 when Joey Fatone came in as Mark, and then a few dozen times since then -- including last summer when Anthony Rapp came back in (of course he blew away every other Mark). Absolutely a life-changing show, and it also became my Broadway gateway drug. It'll definitely be missed.

And I agree! Drew wasn't too bad :D
