Question about My Ads

When you look at those Amazon ads on the right-hand side, what do you see? Do they change each time you visit the page? What kinds of ads are you seeing? Anything that interests you? I’m just curious.

    I think what it’s supposed to do is tailor the ads according to keywords and stuff on the site. But right now it’s just showing stuff that I’ve looked at or bought or whatever. I guess it takes a while?

    Today it looks different. Before I was getting the same as Michelle but now it appears to be doing the keyword thing. Cupcakes, etc.

    I popped into Internet Explorer to check it out - I use Adblock and firefox normally, so I don’t usually see anything.

    I haven’t noticed them because I’m too distracted by the Good Vibes Hitachi Magic Wand ad on the left side. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go take care of something…

    I’m cool with whatever’s in the Amazon ad sidebar, except for one thing. The Ghost Whisperer? That show is too scary for me. Not because of the ghosts - because of the HAIR.

    Yep, that’s what it’s doing, Sara. I’m at work now and it’s showing cupcakes and Amy Sedaris, but when I was at home it had books by Philip Roth, Dava Sobel and Neil Gaiman, all recent Amazon searches for me.
