That is the stuff of nightmares. Still, Paula is the only thing worth watching on “American Idol” isn’t she? She’s got that Judy/Liza vibe going, only without the concomitant talent, of course.
Oh, who am I kidding. It’s not just Paula. I’ve caught the McPheever!!

While on the Liza with a Z tip (honestly, can we ever get enough of her?), TiVo kindly taped Rachel Ray’s segment with Mario Cantone and it was a scream. His Liza is hysterical. And his Faye Dunaway…Bette Davis…
I’ll stop.

I alternate between loving and hating Mario Cantone. First of all, every time I see him, i can only remember him from Steampipe Alley – http://www.tvparty.com/lostny280s.html (scroll down halfway). Plus, SO LOUD!
But I’ve come to love him. We saw him in Assassins and I really enjoyed his performance.
He also introduced Robbie Williams when we saw him at Tribeca, and people were screaming so loud for Robbie that Mario just gave up and stomped offstage.
