On Our Way Home
Sunday, July 06, 2008 at 10:17amCanada has been lovely so far. Although I’m battling a sickness that seems to be somewhere between bronchitis and the plague, we’re still managing to enjoy ourselves. I played Rock Band for the first time, enjoyed a couple trips to Tim Horton’s, and painted my toes. Last night was the party, which was really fun. My illness prevented me from drinking too much, but others made up for it and it was awesome. The boys set off some fireworks in honor of July 4th, and the neighbor came over and yelled at us. And then he called the cops! Who showed up an hour and a half later, shrugged, and left. HA!
We won’t be hitting the drive-in this year, as we’ve decided to head home a day early to take care of a few things. I hope to sleep the entire drive home.

Err, yep, from what I remember and what Jay told me this morning, I hope I didn’t turn out to be the same kind of annoying and in-love-with-my-own-voice drunk like my own problem neighbour. I have never drank an entire bottle of wine by myself before (not to mention the rye and gingers) and I think it showed. That being said I had a fab time, it was great seeing everyone and brie with truffles is da bomb. Oh, and the choco-mint cupcakes you and Maggie fashioned were pretty dang good, too.

Bianca - I know, who calls the cops on people? It was 10:00pm and fireworks are legal in Canada.
Sandra — you were fine! Cute and giggly. My favorite part was when you screamed, “TREVOR GET YOUR ASS IN GEAR” and he was standing right next to you.
