Yeah, I have to agree with some of the comments that likely it is another cat that looks just like the one seen in the shop years and years ago. Cheaters! That, or her current owners are not aware that Lucy is a replacement cat to the original – sneaky Grandma failed to mention this before dying. Lucy looks too spry to be almost 40!
That being said, my cats will definitely live to be at least 50.
My roommate’s cat, who incidentally looks just like the cat in this story, is now over 20. Other than not having any teeth left she looks quite spry. I call her the walking dead.

Yeah, I was thinking she can’t possibly be THAT old, but she is definitely old.
