    Me, too.

Yesterday, Beth and I were chatting and she mentioned that I had to do a lot of crisis management for my peeps (she and Megan suffering Bret Favre’s retirement and the geekboy mourning the death of Gary Gygax)…we were wondering what other bad news would complete the trifecta. I guess this is it.

Very sad! Interesting that the story contradicts itself immediately, though — the shocker opener that his people have confirmed that he has only weeks to live is followed by the statement that the pessimistic timeline being given in the press is not true. So then his people DIDN’T confirm that he has only weeks to live, but that doesn’t stop Page Six from saying that they DID.

I love the media. Anyway, I hope that the reports ARE overly pessimistic and that Mr. Swayze lives to dirty dance another day.

I agree, oolookitty - I read somewhere else that his doctor said yes, he has pancreatic cancer, but a limited amount. Whatever that means.

    This article is less sensational:

Very sad news. I was hoping we were going to be able to write off the Enquirer story as completely wrong.

I was watching the Today Show this morning and they reported that he is NOT dying anytime soon. Apparently, the outlook is really optimistic and the press is indeed over doing it. For some reason, I feel like if it’s on the Today show, the report is more likely to be right, yes?
