    That’s awesome. So if I was married in Canada or California, it would be recognized in New York. A great step.

    Hey, at least gay marriage is legal is places where being gay is generally accepted. Can you imagine if West Virginia was the only state that allowed gay marriage? I think public lynching is still legal there! Imagine “Deliverance” with a twist…

    Ah, a post that unites two things about me:

    1. Getting married in Toronto in August, and was so thrilled to read about NY state today.

    2. I’m from West Virginia, and we’re not all Deliverance and yokels. All states have yokels.
