Yay! Thank you! These are a lot more fun than writing about radiation and seed banks. #

Nice one - great transitions! Did you put the shout to my sinking ship article or did Amanda add that?

(I can’t wait for the noodling one, we’re having fun with the initial approach today)

Amanda added the sinking ship link.

And yeah, she keeps sending me “Oh, and here’s one more thing” emails for my IA.

I enjoyed it! And I read the sinking ship one as well. All good to know.

Nice article. Although I worked on a crab boat and I don’t remember the banana one. All I know is, if it had taken up Valuable Beer-Storing Space, it probably wasn’t going to make the trip.

“Many other traditional sailor tattoos have their origins in superstition. One great example is the pair of tattoos of a pig on one foot, and a rooster on th’other. The implication is that both these animals fear water, and that they will keep a sailor’s feet from sinking into the depths, speeding them back to land all the sooner.”
