I just bought a very cute dress to wear to a wedding this weekend (and likely another wedding in July). The dress is sleeveless but not spaghetti strap. My question: The top of the dress is slightly too big. The wedding is Saturday so I likely won’t have time to get it tailored. Because of that extra length in the straps, though, the very top of my bra peeks out around the neckline. And when I bend over, the top of the dress gets a bit loose for my demure ladylike demeanor. Does anyone have ANY thoughts on how to fix this without sewing? I’m thinking double sided tape or something.

Double-sided tape is magic. That, or making a couple of quick darts, which involves a little stitching but not much. Depends on the material and bodice, though. Or, you know, seriously stuff your bra, whatever.
I don’t have a sewing machine and I don’t want to do anything by hand — sloppy!
Stuff my bra? I’d fall over. I look top-heavy enough in this dress already!
Sell the ad space!
I might as well. Everyone will be looking at my pasty white chest anyway
I use this stuff all the time:

(My packaging is a little different, but I believe it’s the same product.) If you don’t want to stick it to your skin, you can stick it between the dress and your bra straps and the tops of the cups. I use it to keep fabric closed between long stretches of buttons, etc.
I got mine at a local lingerie shop, but I’m sure you could get some (this brand or one of the many others) at a department store. Or maybe even Target?
I’ve never seen them at Target…I just called a nearby bridal shop and they don’t have them. Ugh, DO NOT WANT to go back to the mall. That looks like what I need, though.
I have the strips you can put on button down shirts, but I don’t think they’ll be strong enough.
Oooh, sweet, I just called the Bed Bath & Beyond near us, and they carry this:

I say what happens, happens.
Don’t you wish you were going to be there?
I’m a big fan of safety pins myself. But I’m not much of a do-it-yourselfer. You could always wear a lacy camisole under it. That way when your lingerie is showing, it will look intentional.
Safety pins do wonders. I didn’t read through the other comments, but if you safety pin your bra to the dress (since there are usually two layers of fabric, you pin it through the part closest to you so no one can see the pins) you should have no problem! I had the same problem, and it worked perfectly. Hopefully I’m not too late >.<
I can never do safety pins correctly; they always show.
I’ll bring some with me, though. Hoping the tape I bought yesterday will work
