  1. I keep checking around to see if any other site is reporting that. The other news sites so far just mention the heart attack.

  2. Yeah, I’m waiting, too. I guess they can’t say anything until there’s an official statement. Thinking it’s true, though…it’s not something they can prevent from being leaked out.

  3. Frigging bizarre, and even weirder, I have total faith in TMZ at this point.

  4. Everyone is saying “According to TMZ…” because they don’t know and don’t want to be responsible if they’ve gotten it wrong.

  5. Exactly. And TMZ already has a rep for being douches, so they figure they’re in the clear.

CNN is saying “multiple sources” are reporting he’s died. I think the LA Times is now reporting it, too. #

  6. I just saw the “multiple sources” thing too. I guess they were waiting for confirmation, which had to wait until family were notified, right? Shocking :/

I am very cynical and part of me wants to believe that MJ is sitting in a hotel room watching all of it on television over a nice class of Jesus juice. Like maybe this is just a dry run- something that he cooked up to make sure that his legacy will be protected. This coverage is crazy- I am waiting for the other shoe to drop. I bet I am not the only one. Where are Macaulay Culkin, and Corey Feldman right now? Feldman’s agent is probably working out appearance fees as I type…

  8. I said something similar on Twitter…fucking Feldman is going to be all over the news now. Gag.

  9. I just made the mistake of watching a video montage of MJ with his version of “Got to Be There” playing over it. Wow. I cried. I admit it. His music was a huge part of my childhood.

TMZ is always right on celebrity death. Scary but true.

I was near Times Square last night, and walked over to see if their was a vigil. A lot of newsvans talking to tourists, and one guy with an “RIP Michael” message on the back of a pizza box lid. Not exactly what I was expecting.
