Meena
I need you guys to send some good thoughts our way this week. Meena is getting an ultrasound today. I haven’t wanted to really talk about it, but a few weeks ago a routine vet visit turned into blood tests which turned into a recommendation to get her insides looked at and that’s what’s going on. We’d noticed that lately she’s lost weight and has been a bit listless, but we thought it was stress from the move. I don’t know. I dropped her off at the vet this morning and it was horrible having to leave her there. I feel terrible right now. So let’s hope she’s okay. I can’t imagine my life without her.

Aww, poor girl. My best wishes to your very own BitchKitty.

Aww, poor crazy kitty. How long until they call?
What vet do you use?
August 31st, 2006 - 09:17
Bound Brook Veterinary. They don’t do ultrasounds, but someone comes in every Thursday to do them. I think she will be there all day and I don’t know if they’ll even have the results when I go to pick her up.
I just hate leaving her in an unfamiliar place.

I’m sending out good vibes to you and your kitty.

ooooh, that is the worst feeling in the world, when you’re worried your little furry one is not well. i send all my good vibes to meena today. be strong little one.

Aw, I hope she’s ok! Sending good, positive vibes Meena’s way today!

Sending good thoughts. I know how hard this is. I went through this with Aslan about a year ago. It ended up that his kidneys were a little enlarged so they put him on a special diet and he is fine. Hopefully it is just something like that with Meena.
August 31st, 2006 - 10:55
Sending good thoughts your way, Miss Meena.
August 31st, 2006 - 11:22
As a former altar boy, I’m praying to the patron saint of cats for you.
Gertie, Gertie come around
Watch over Meena’s ultrasound.
I didn’t say it was an epic prayer. I hope everything goes OK, darlin’.
August 31st, 2006 - 11:45
Awww, feel better soon, Meena.
August 31st, 2006 - 11:58
Sending good vibes Meena’s way. She’s probably just doing this to piss you off, y’know. ;)
August 31st, 2006 - 12:42
Oh no! I am sending good thoughts your way!
It’s a bad week for kitties! I had to take my cat to the vet yesterday because she’s been drinking and peeing a lot, and has had a few accidents on my bed, which has never happened before. The vet ruled out diabetes, so I am waiting today to hear whether it’s something wrong with her kidneys or not. If it isn’t, then it’s probably just a urinary tract infection (the best case scenario).
The waiting is hard. My cat is 16, so something was bound to happen, but she’s been amazingly healthy till now.
Good thoughts. Good thoughts.

Aww, I hope Meena will be fine and it’s just stress. Poor her. And you.
August 31st, 2006 - 12:48
Meena’s home now! I won’t talk to the doctor til tomorrow, though. Bleh.
She seems fine, except she was very angry and hungry. She’s eating now. :)

If Meena had a middle finger, it would be up in this photo.
August 31st, 2006 - 13:13
Heh, in my imagination, Meena is always angry and hungry. And sniffing bubble wrap.
August 31st, 2006 - 13:21
Ha ha!
August 31st, 2006 - 13:29
I hope the tests show nothing out of the ordinary. Glad she’s home.
August 31st, 2006 - 14:05
Let’s hope she’ll be scaring the shit out of people for years to come – where would my AAAGGGHHH go?
August 31st, 2006 - 14:38
Maggie and Jen, that is hilarious. Good to hear Meena is home now, hoping for good news from the vet! She looks so pretty on that picture; she doesn’t even have Chevron ears to badly.
August 31st, 2006 - 14:39
Oops. too
August 31st, 2006 - 14:44
What on earth are Chevron ears?
August 31st, 2006 - 14:49
I’m glad Meena’s home, and hasn’t killed you yet for making her go get poked and prodded all day.
Cats are so awesome in their craziness.
We keep our cats indoors, but with the party Saturday I let them come and go as they pleased, which accidentally resulted in our more adventurous cat spending the whole night outside. When I let her in Sunday morning, she was so pissed and tired she went under our bed and wouldn’t come out all day, which is the complete opposite of her normal behavior. I likened it to a teenager who was hungover and had to sleep it off all day.
August 31st, 2006 - 14:55
ha! She must have had quite a night!
August 31st, 2006 - 15:11
You know, when they put their ears back all pissed.

:)
August 31st, 2006 - 15:26
Ah! Heh. Yeah, I think she was too tired to get angry.
August 31st, 2006 - 16:21
in Ontario (perhaps all over Canada, I’m not sure) you are to have at least TWO CHEVRONS between your car and the one in front of you while on the highway. sky is the limit when it comes to chevrons!
hope meena is feeling a bit better now.
August 31st, 2006 - 17:23
Got here late, but I hope Meena is ok!
August 31st, 2006 - 21:19
How is Meena? Any updates? I really hope she is OK.
My cat, not so great.
Oh, pets….they bring such joy, but they will always break your heart.
August 31st, 2006 - 21:24
Rain, I’m sorry about your cat. :( “Break your heart” is right.
Meena is home and doing fine, but the vet won’t call until tomorrow. Lisa pointed out to me earlier that they might not have let her come home if they had found something terrible. So I’m keeping my hopes up. And I send good thoughts to your kitty.
September 1st, 2006 - 00:42
Thank you for the kind thoughts!
I am sending good thoughts Meena’s way, too. I agree that if they saw something frightening, they probably would have kept her there, so that’s a good sign.

**~~~~~GOOD VIBES~~~~~**
Poor Kitty– :(
I hope she is okay.
September 1st, 2006 - 00:51
Hang in there, Meena! You can do it!
September 1st, 2006 - 08:53
Whiskers crossed that everything turns out ok.
September 1st, 2006 - 10:28
I’m thinking of you and Meena.

I love you, Meena. Mr. Walter Tinkelton also sends his love.
