The Chicago show was fantastic. I was pleasantly surprised with how long they played and how many songs they managed to fit in, even though there were a couple I would also have loved to hear. I love the juxtaposition of their musicianship with their flat affects and the funny lyrics. I saw Jemaine walking around town earlier in the afternoon the day of the show, which was a nice surprise. Amazing. Video of the year if voters have any sense of humor at all. The stitching of the guys' heads onto the skaters' bodies was so seamless I was actually quite impressed--- first with the guys, then with the film editors. Wow. Amazing. The show last night was excellent. Luckily they played If You're Into It, so my night was made. I was also tipsy off of $6 glasses of white zinfandel so I was having a good night all around. I was surprised that they didn't play Ladies of the World but it's not my all time favorite so I wasn't disappointed. Sweet. The show last night was excellent.
