The kittens are getting used to their new home. So far, they’re neater than our other batches of kittens, who would wrestle in the food bowls and the litterbox and get water and poo everywhere. Maybe when they get even more comfortable, they’ll start doing that, but for now I’m enjoying the peace. Last night Lisa brought over some new toys and some baby food per Serena’s suggestion, and boy howdy did they go crazy over that. The geekboy and I also decided to try and tackle Mary Kate’s poo-covered backside. The geekboy scruffed and held her and I wielded cat shampoo, scissors, wipes, and a matting comb while Mary Kate screamed bloody murder. This morning she looks 100% better. I don’t think she’s used the box since last night, but now that I have the wipes, at least I can wipe her down every day.

Yes. This is what my life has come to. Wiping a kitten’s ass.
