Kitten Update
Thursday, January 03, 2008 at 11:06amThe kittens are at the vet today, getting neutered. The poor things. They hate being in that carrier. The time that they each spend in surgery will be the longest they’ve ever been apart from each other. I’ll pick them up later this afternoon, and they’ll be groggy, hungry and desperate for cuddles, I imagine. Here’s a photo of them with the geekboy from last week.
I still can’t get over the disparity in their sizes - Becks is just about twice as big as Posh. Fitting.

They’re stinkin’ cute. Makes me miss mine. I had to leave her with my parents in the midwest as I make the transition from Denver to the East Coast. Definitely not the same without her running around the house. Sigh.

The kittens are back from the vet and they are SO groggy! I’ve never had kittens come out of the anaesthesia this slowly before, the poor bastards. Posh keeps falling over. They’re being so sweet, though.
And the ACO told me that she might already have a home for them! So exciting!

I’m moving to The District sometime in the next month…still riding out the job in Denver for a few more weeks. I’m pretty excited about changing coasts for awhile though. My first trip to NYC is slated for Feb. 16. Can’t wait.
When I got Ella spade, they shaved WAY too much of her fur off (we’re talking haphazard swipes on her legs and everything). I’ll never forget how mortified she was when she came out of anesthesia. She didn’t want anyone to look at her.
There couldn’t be a happier ending than finding these kittens a home. Have you heard about Mary-Kate and Ashley? I hope they’ve gone to good families, too.

Posh has way too much fur shaved off, as well. Every time I point it out, she hangs her head in shame.
I haven’t heard about MK and Ashley. Haven’t asked. Don’t want to know.

it’s hard when they get neutered. when avec got neutered, she spent the ten days in a cone, and looked like we were beating her with clubs the whole time.
we weren’t. she just wanted us to feel like we were.

Yep, Posh & Becks, although lately the names have mutated into PoshMonkey and Mr. Beckham.

I actually tend to call Posh “Little Miss” for some reason. Not sure why.
