It’s My Birthday!
Friday, October 03, 2008 at 08:32amWell, I’m 40 and I woke up this morning and feel pretty much the same. Glad to see I didn’t fall apart overnight. The big news is that my sister flew up from Florida to spend the weekend with me, and I couldn’t be happier. We leave for the shore later today to begin what will probably be an epic three-day party. I intend to drink a lot, eat a lot and laugh even more. Happy birthday to me! Thanks, everyone, for spending another year here.
Just as an FYI, I’ve asked friends and family to make a donation to our animal shelter in my name, if they’re so inclined. Here’s the info, in case you are also inclined. Sending a check gets the money in the right hands faster. Write it to Second Chance for Animals, P.O. Box 5172, Somerset, NJ 08875. You can also donate through PayPal, although that nets them less money. But more convenient!

Happy Birthday! And you are only 40 in a base 10 number system. In base 11 you are only 37, in base 12, just 34, and in base 13 down to 31. Go to hexadecimal (base 16) and you are back in your 20s at age 28, and take the Mayan number system in base 20, and you are only 20, of course then you wouldn’t be old enough to drink this weekend, so your best bet is to stick with hexadecimal. Just don’t think about how old you are in binary, a whopping 101000. Enjoy! See you soon.
