I KNEW it was something to do with an apple. And MTV was brand-new. I had just moved to Florida, but spent the first few weeks of the summer in Jersey, alternating between Martha Quinn and WAPP. And making out with my sister's friend Sue. (Thanks, Sue, wherever you are.)

Good times.

I get so aggravated that I went to Fordham and live only 10 minutes from campus where they broadcast from, yet somehow the station comes in staticy as hell in my house. Roar.

I like WRXP alot. It actually was the station to finally knock K-Rock off my presets in the car, which I'm probably not supposed to say out loud because I used to work there haha. I'm afraid someone's going to come and get me if they find out I finally gave up on them.

I should have thought of that...it does tend to go out of range when I head south. It usually sounds decent in my car, but not in my house (in Plainfield). Just hope that the ipod doesn't ever fritz.

When I moved to Jersey, I figured there would be a better selection of radio with NYC nearby than where I grew up near Philly, but jeez... was that wrong! I'm still surprised at the lack of variety from a city like New York. I find that most of the time, I listen to WFUV 90.7 which broadcasts from Fordham and is very similar in format to WXPN. Yes, sometimes you'll have to turn it when it gets too coffee-house like, but it's the most consistent one around (imho).

Hmmm. Boston, then Green Day, then Cheryl Crow. They're definitely casting a wide net.
