Introducing Posh & Becks
Monday, December 03, 2007 at 09:47amAfter helping out the animal shelter on Saturday, we felt our lives were missing something. So we now find ourselves in this situation…
OMG!
Please say hello to our newest fosters, Posh & Becks.
[thanks to Auntie Lisa for naming them!]
These kittens are a bit bigger than Mary-Kate and Ashley were when we got them. They’re also much less frightened, and it only took about two hours to get them snuggling and purring in our arms. There was a bit of a flea issue, but I think the Frontline has kicked in and I haven’t seen any live fleas in about two days.
As much as I’m already in love with these two, nothing could prepare me for the scene I walked into this morning. I should have braced myself better when I saw the note on the bathroom door from the geekboy that said, “I’m sorry, I was late for work and I couldn’t get this all cleaned up.”
Have you ever seen an entire bathtub smeared with poop?
I have.

I might die from the cuteness, and I’m not a cat person at all.
Great names too!

Here I was trying to figure out if you were cuter or if the kittens were cuter, then you said that thing that I won’t repeat, and you win! Seriously, that’s just an adorable picture all the way around, and I hope you guys have a blast with these two.

Killing. Me. … Must. Have. Kittens.
You guys are awesome. Kudos to Lisa on the names…

The reason they’re so cute, Jen, is so you forgive them the feces-smeared bathtub.
The cats, I mean.
freakgirl on Monday, December 03, 2007 at 12:00 pm
I did forgive them. It’s true. They ARE that cute.
The big Mystery of the Day, though, is how they managed to coat the entire tub with poo yet get virtually NONE on themselves. HOW? WHY?
Jill on Monday, December 03, 2007 at 12:05 pm
Well, clearly they’ve learned to clean themselves…..ew

I KNOW!

aaaand there goes my appetite for lunch.
I love when people come up with creative names for pets like that. My friend has an orange tabby named Cheddar, and 2 black and white cats named Elvis and Priscilla.

I love them! I need them.

Posh has some calico in her? Both are so very sweet and I want to eat them up.
freakgirl on Monday, December 03, 2007 at 12:34 pm
Posh does have some calico. It’s very cute.

Aaaaw, too cute!
Frontline didn’t seem to work here anymore, so we used Advantage a couple of months ago. And the whole time I was singing “There ain’t no bugs on me…” I think Ivon didn’t like me much anymore. :-)
And it was thanks to you, because I think you alerted me to that commercial when we visited youse guys.

“You might have bugs on some of yer mugs, but there ain’t no bugs on meeeeee!”
Apparently the poopstorm this morning was only Chapter One of a multi-part series. I just cleaned up Chapter Three, and the kittens are enjoying a naptime intermission until, presumably, Chapter Four kicks in with a big musical number.
Le sigh.

Awww, thanks.

Well, cleary it is nearly Christmas time, and the kittens were paid a visit by Mr. Hanky.

Ha! Of course!

OMG, the cute…it huuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrttttttttttttttttttttttttttssssssssssssssss!!!
I have some maybe-news that should brighten your poop-filled evening: I think my daughter’s friend adopted Mary-Kate and Ashley. I don’t know for sure, but she and her little sister got two new kittens from your shelter soon after you returned them. I know they are sisters and that they’d just come from foster care, but haven’t eyeballed them yet to confirm. In any case, if it is them, they’ve now got a wonderful home with two adorable, loving little girls who undoubtedly treat them like kittie princess. Oh, and their names are Fluffy and Susan.
freakgirl on Monday, December 03, 2007 at 9:14 pm
I’m glad your friends adopted from our shelter, yay! Fluffy…and Susan? So funny.
Unfortch, it was not Mary-Kate and Ashley. They are still at the shelter. I guess they got sick and if they’re sick, they have to be quarantined. I can’t even talk about it without getting choked up. Hopefully they will be adopted soon.
I think from now on I will avoid asking about any of our former fosters. I can’t deal with bad news.
