That was good. That crew was not exactly representative of America, though, was it? Lots of Abercrombie-esque guys, but I guess if they're answering an ad asking if you'll go shirtless in public places, it's gonna be skewed. I like that Ron Jeremy lookin' mofo lying down in the group shot.

I enjoy the targetless stuff more - it's less "prank" and more "performance art."

I LOVED the <a href="http://www.improveverywhere.com/2006/11/19/ben-folds-fake/" rel="nofollow">Ben Folds prank</a>, though.

I don't much care for those, either. Essentially, though, it's the same. But the A&F or the mp3 stuff, which is kind of targetless, those I find brilliant.

Conceptually, they do some great stuff. but there's a story on This American Life (both tv and radio - http://thisamericanlife.org/Radio_Episode.aspx?episode=286)
where they get together and give a new band the best gig of their life. It sounds fun and a good idea, but the band did get scammed.

There are also other stories, I think by IE, of people making a birthday party in a bar for a random person. but ultimately, these kinds of things could be hurtful to some people - they are playing with their emotions.

of course, those directed at Abercrombie & Fitch, and similar corporate targets, are pretty cool, though. (I mean it, not sarcastic)
