I’m a Writer!

I still am, but here’s something positive — thanks to Chuck, I’m now a contributing writer to the awesome Discovery Communications website How Stuff Works. I’ve been writing on environmental topics, which is right up my alley and so far has been really interesting. And my first article was posted yesterday! You can read it here.
It’s not some huge work of art or anything, but I’m quite proud, as I’ve always wanted to be able to say that I get paid to write. And now I do. So yay for me.

And it’s already helpful. I’ve got a couple dead DVD/VCRs that I didn’t know what to do with but didn’t want just to trash and now I know I can take them to the big Staples near my house and have them recycled for free. Yay!

How did I never know about Earth911? This is a handy lil website for my job, plus I have some options for where to drop-off my retired computer.

Good one! I read the whole thing and didn’t even skim. Not out of any sense of obligation, either. ;-) Interesting stuff. I’d never heard of that site. Earth911, I mean. Of course I’ve heard of the awesome How Stuff Works, what with my BFF, Chuck, working there.
