I Haz a Foster

Guess who went to the shelter today?

the new guy

Haven’t settled on a name yet. He’s a six-week-old boy, his sisters are in foster care as well and he’s having a harder time getting socialized. He’s quite frightened right now, but I know in a few days he’ll be just fine. Do you love him so much? Me too.

Oh. My. Gosh. He is too cute. And I still think you’re magical for being able to foster these kitties. Good on ya.

Okay, we named him — Sweet Johnny.

You know what he’s saying in that pic? “Can you imagine where we’d be today if Bush pushed the privatization of social security through? We’d be fucked that’s where.”

Sorry for the swear word FG.

Which shelter do you work with? I may need to take them up on a kitten sometime down the road. My cat Piper got out of the house over a week ago and hasn’t returned. She’s very skittish so even if we or one of our neighbors spotted her they couldn’t just pick her up. I’m worried sick. I was picking up food for our other cat at petco the other day and was watching their adoptive cats in their playroom and I almost started crying.

It’s the Franklin Twp Animal Shelter in Franklin, NJ. A bit of a hike for you, maybe, but we have lots of adoptables! I’m so sorry to hear about Piper. I can’t imagine how worried you must be. Have you seen the service www.findtoto.com? Maybe someone has seen her.

Thank you so much for the info. I’ve never heard of that site before. Yeah, I’m stressed out like you wouldn’t believe. We went around to all our neighbors and showed her picture and we called all the shelters around us just in case anyone brings her in. Now we wait.

Keep us posted. So scary. Maybe Piper met a tomcat and is off on a big adventure. She’ll come back after he dumps her for some slut.

Haha, will do. My friend said something to the effect of her being a heroine and having to go off and save some people for a while.
