I had a terrible nightmare last night that involved jumping off a collapsing bridge into water, and realizing right before I hit the water that it was electrified from the bridge collapsing. It was very real and I can still see the other people who fell off the bridge slowly sinking to the bottom like I was, being electrocuted and struggling to get back up to the top. When I woke up (I actually was able to wake myself up), my fingers and hands were tingling. Ca-razy. I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that I have to go to an interview in an hour to try and land a temporary freelance project. Even though I am 36 years old and fully capable of dealing with leading a meeting and finding out client expectations, when I walk into an unfamiliar conference room, I feel fresh out of college and not worthy of being asked for my opinion. Today, I will try to be confident. I know I can do this work, so I should stop acting like such a pussy, yah? Also, I never, ever want to have that dream again.
