Home From the Shore

Monday, October 06, 2008 at 12:45pm

We’re back from our weekend of debauchery! A little worse for the wear, but doing well considering that my sister, Beth and I (but mostly me) drank all the wine in New Jersey on Saturday night. There was partying, singing, dancing and cussing. I said “fuck” in front of a room of children. My friends showered me with amazing, ridiculously generous gifts. The people that couldn’t come sent videos, and they were wonderful. We raised some nice coin for the animal shelter. I cried a lot. I laughed a lot. I sang “Tenderness” by General Public to Beth at 3:00 in the morning. We ate cupcakes and drank sangria and walked on the boardwalk, and my sister flew up from Florida for all of it.

I plan to spend the last day of my mini-vacation hanging out on the couch and continuing to recover. Tomorrow I’ll pull the photos from my camera and also post the UNFRICKINGBELIEVABLE POSTER that Jeremy made for me!

Thanks to everyone who shared in this weekend. I’m so lucky.
