Holy Crap We’re Getting a Dyson

Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 10:41am

Thanks, everyone, because all your comments yesterday convinced the geekboy that we, in fact, do need a Dyson. He found a good price with free shipping and an Animal is now on its way. I can’t believe it! I feel like a chump for spending this much money, but we’ll chalk it up to an early Christmas gift to each other. Or something. Still…HOORAY! I’M AM SO SPOILED!

Hooray! Is it a pink one?

  2. freakgirl on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 11:10 am

No, we decided to go with the higher model because it’s more suited to people with pets and picking up embedded pet hair. The pink one doesn’t have that.

Would it have killed just one or two of you people to say that the Dyson was a lot of hype? #

Kidding. I’m actually hoping that this will help improve the general quality of the air in our house, especially as we’re entering cold weather, when it’s not possible to have the windows open all the time. I have to think that whatever fur and dust lives in our carpets, particularly our bedroom, can’t be helping my snoring.

And it’s purple, by the way.

Yay! We have the Animal, too. I’m telling you, it’s amazing. The first time you vacuum with that thing, you will be thoroughly disgusted by the amount of filth you have been living with.

Does it also play the drums erratically while screaming, “Aahhhh, ANIMALLLLL!”?

I’m so happy for you and your new addition!!! Hurray to the Happy Parents. #

Sandra, I made a similar joke last night.

    Freakgirl didn’t laugh.

    You’re getting it? Brat.

Quit staring at me living in filth!

We have hardwood floors and no pets so I can’t speak from experience but man, every pet owner I know that has a Dyson says it’s changed their lives! So get ready!

    OH I’M READY

That’s the one we want. Do not be alarmed if, the next time we visit, I just spontaneously start vacuuming. Just leave me be and no one gets hurt.

Geekboy, you and I are the only ones with a muppetlicious sense of humour I guess…

Sandra, I laughed out loud. References to muppets who were chained to their instruments are always funny.

Are you all prepared for me posting pictures of my dirt? Because you know I will.

Janet, it might be safe for you to start spending the night here again…

  18. Maggie on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 6:06 pm

Can’t Janet just sleep in the dining room where there is no carpet?

  19. freakgirl on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 6:11 pm

Ha! She can sleep on the bench.
