I just switched concealers and I’m having an allergic reaction to the new one, under my eye. What’s your favorite concealer? I’ve found the ones that work best for me are solid, that I can smear on with a pinkie finger or q-tip, and then some pressed powder on top to set it. I need something that works on sensitive skin. Any recommendations?

Is your new concealer MAC? I can’t use MAC foundation or concealer around my eyes because of a reaction to one of the ingredients and my eye blows up with a hive. I can use the studiofix powder, though, which I like.
Not MAC. Good to know, though.
Honestly, I buy most of my makeup at Target. The last concealer palette I had was fantastic, and I cannot remember the brand! It was sophia something or something with an s. HELP!
Sophia Kashiuk?
I have circles no matter how much sleep I get…so I’ve tried just about every concealer out there. But a couple of years ago I splurged on Laura Mercier Secret Concealer ($22) and never looked back. The stuff is really light and creamy, but covers so well that you just need a little dab—so one pot lasts forever.
The only other thing I remember covering well without irritation was by Mary Kay…it came in a tube. But if I remember, it was pretty heavy. I’d give the Laura Mercier stuff a try and see what you think. It eventually got me to convert to her other products (the oil-free tinted moisturizer is also a good buy).

Yes. Hoping they still make it! Does Sephora carry the Laura Mercier stuff?
I love love love my Benefit Eye Bright. They call it “nap in a stick” and it really is. It’s not really concealer, but it works wonders to make my eyes look bright and refreshed, no matter how dark & intense the circles are & I usually don’t even use concealer with it. And a few lines blended in at the corners works almost like an eye lift. It’s not cheap, but sooo worth it!
I have some Neutrogena that works well. It has zit remedy (!) in it, so it might be too harsh for you. I have sensitive skin as well and it doesn’t bother me. Remind me to share when I get home.
I like the “It Stick” by benefit. I have fair, sensitive skin, and the stick doesn’t anger my skin or make it look off. It’s more expensive than some, but it has lasted me a good while.
I love Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturizer, also love Stila. May not be enough coverage for undereye though…
And I get super-red zits, too. Goddamn Irish complexion.
I got a concealer pencil from the Body Shop that works very well on my permanent blue undereye circles.
