Health Update

Friday, July 18, 2008 at 10:47am

You guys, I am still sick. I’ll be coming up on three weeks soon. The past few days I’ve been finding myself dizzy, which is NOT an added bonus when you’re trying to get things done, like walk or drive or LIVE. I called the doctor today and she thinks I’m having a reaction to my lovely cough medicine, so that’s out. She’s also putting me on a different antibiotic, a stronger one that she usually prescribes for pneumonia or something like that. Anyway, she said if I don’t feel better by Monday, I’m going to have to drag my disease-ridden ass back to her office. Blarg.

Maybe you should start smoking again.

I know, right? I was talking to Shannon earlier and she said the same thing. How is this fair?

Ha, remember what happened to my mom after she quit? She got that mystery disease and couldn’t catch her breathe properly? For a year she was like that. She went to so many specialists and they couldn’t figure out why. And then she started getting her lung capacity back, and then she was fine! She thought she was being punshed for not quitting smoking soon enough, and maybe she should smoke again.

If it makes you feel any better, I’m hating life today too. Both of my kids and my husband have been super high maintenance and cranky this week, especially today. Echo has painted herself, her car seat/ and my car with poo for the second time this week, and it is fermented frothy poo thanks to the yummy lake water and goose poop sand she chowed down on Monday. I just got covered in the stuff again when I tried to change her on my bed—she is like trying to diaper the Tasmanian Devil (covered in frothy poo.) The spin cycle on my washer broke, and the bedspread got poo all over it, so I’m trying to wash it by hand with little luck. I’m trying to tackle a few unfinished projects, and the kids are undoing everything I do—I just strapped Echo in her car seat to restrain her. I’m fed up. .
