Happy Earth Day!

Today is Earth Day. Do something to benefit the planet today. It doesn’t have to be a big deal — maybe recycle a water bottle or remember to turn off the lights when you leave the room. I plan to walk to the library to return my books instead of drive. What are YOU going to do?

After years of just thinking about it, we finally started a proper recycling bin for the house. Bergen County sells them to residents for only $42 - through their hazardous recycling center. I also recycle my paint, and about 25 gallons of paint thinner a year. Wilbur & Fannie are helping by shredding all my belongings (like my sofa and carpet) into small pieces, so that they can decompose more rapidly. They have a lot of time on their hands, damn cats.
