You’d really think that after having been in Florida during Katrina at this time 3 years ago, and narrowly avoiding a hurricane on our honeymoon the year before, we would have learned our lesson. Apparently, not so much.
I should, of course, add that the hurricane we narrowly avoided during our honeymoon actually turned out to be a huge ironic boon for us. Because Universal Studios was practically empty most of the time were there. And we ended up meeting more local Floridians whose roofs had been ripped off their houses a few days before than we did out-of-town tourists.
So … you know … not really sure what the moral of that story is.
Seriously - we don’t want any of that. It does look scary. Here’s hoping it fizzles or goes way West, I haven’t seen the latest models, but it’s still a long way out, who knows.

Apparently God hates Florida almost as much as the Democrats do.

Enough already with the blowing and the raining and the taping of little x’s on windows.
